Spain's Festivals Make Summer Even Hotter
Spain is lovely – if hot and a bit overflowing with tourists – in summer. The beaches are beautiful, the seas sparkle, and the siesta is a welcome respite from the heat. It’s also a necessity for building the stamina to party through the night like the locals do. The Spanish love to party, and Spain hosts some of the best summer festivals in the world.
From the Corpus Christi Festival in Granada to the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona to the San Fermin Festival (the Running of the Bulls) in Pamplona, Spain’s summer calendar is packed with the best outdoor summer festivals. If you’re itching to attend one, or just to experience the country during the height of summer, it’s not to late to find cheap flights to Spain for June, July and August, if you can be flexible and take advantage of last-minute deals.
Cheap Spain hotels can also be had at the last minute, as unsold inventory gets discounted as the date approaches. You may not get your first choice hotel if you take this tactic, but with all the great festivals and events happening around Spain, in addition to the history, culture, art, shopping, natural beauty and outdoor adventures to explore, you’re not going to see much of the inside of your hotel room anyways.
